Tottenham’s newest 10k run has been launched by The Engine Room
The Engine Room in Tottenham Hale is organising a 10k fun run in June and is encouraging everybody in the community to get involved.
The run is taking place on Saturday 9th June at 9:00am, with the starting line at The Engine Room community centre. The route is a 10km flat, off road route from Hale Village to Tottenham Marshes and back. It includes two circuits of Tottenham Marshes.
It has been organised by the Engine Room in partnership with Lee Valley Estates, Lee Valley Regional Park and the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation.
Andrew Johnston, operations manager and race director, explains: “The Engine Room is where community meets. What better way to do that than to organise a fun mid-summer sporting event in the fabulous Lee Valley Park which is just on our doorstep.
“I walk my dog every day on Tottenham Marshes and have often considered it Tottenham’s hidden gem. So whether an experienced runner or first timer, why not join your local 10k? We’d love to see you on the start line.
“If you don’t fancy the run, a walking event will be organised by Tottenham Hotspur Foundation on the same day starting at midday from The Engine Room.”
Entry into the fun run costs £15. To secure your place, visit: entrycentral.com/theenginerun
All entrants will be presented with an Engine Room medal and goodie bag.
Since 2013, the Engine Room has provided a community space for adults, children and families in Hale Village. It is home to St. Francis Church, a modern café and a 26-place nursery.
