Editor’s letter

Hello and welcome to issue 17! As this year draws to an end, residents of the Tangmere and Northolt blocks on the Broadwater Farm estate, both prepare for and respond to the demolishing of their homes and the rebuilding of new properties.

A group of young dancers get ready for their first competition (page 13) and a poetry collective use their words to affect social change in their communities (Page 12).

In this edition you’ll also find some useful advice from Kellie Dorrington, Citizens Advice Haringey on page 14; news of how the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan plans to tackle air pollution in Tottenham on page 3, as well as insight from Superintendent Nusrit Mehtab about the merger of Haringey and Enfield police on page 4.
