Hello and welcome to issue 15 of Tottenham Community Press. I am thrilled to take on the role of Editor, following Ellie Rae Ward’s move on to new challenges in her career.
Originally from Tottenham, I have spent the last couple of years living and studying up North; but I am glad to have come back home, full circle.
Throughout my childhood and into adulthood, I have seen Tottenham undergo many changes, with the local landscape and demographic transforming over the recent years.
Local artist, Ben Summers documents the changes he sees on canvas. His oil paintings offer a visual commentary that you can both read about on page 7 and see for yourself at his current exhibition.
The Northumberland Park Comprehensive School class of ’72 can also attest to change over time, as former pupils and staff reunited last month for a long awaited catch up- 46 years after they all first met. You can find out about how it went on page 13.
We would like to know your thoughts on Tottenham, how much has it changed since 1985? What are the changes you want to see? Take a look at our History section for more details.
I hope you enjoy reading this month’s issue, as much as I have enjoyed editing it.
